I’m Margie Crawford, owner and designer at Giving Grace Studio. I’ve spent more than 25 years designing and altering bridal and formalwear, over 30 years doing general alterations, and more than 25 years cleaning and preserving garments.
My studio is tucked into the country near Villisca and Morton Mills. Here, appointments are personal, the conversation is honest, and every story is welcome.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Giving Grace Studio is appointment only so Margie can give each client dedicated time. Please call or text 641-282-4419 to schedule.
How many adults can come to a bridal appointment?
Brides may bring up to four adults. During sale appointments, the limit is two adults with the bride.
What sizes and prices are your wedding gowns?
The studio carries more than 200 rotating off-the-rack gowns in sizes 2–36, generally priced $99–$599. Inventory changes often, so ask about a style before traveling.
Where are you located?
Giving Grace Studio is at 1552 V Avenue, Villisca, Iowa 50864, in a country location near Villisca and Morton Mills. Appointment required.
Do you offer mobile alterations?
Yes. Mobile appointments are available in southwest and western Iowa, the Omaha and Lincoln areas, southern Nebraska and nearby communities. The service fee is $25–$100, and an additional rush fee of $25–$150 may apply.

Yes. Any color can be matched, and custom vests, ties and suspenders can be made to order.
Do you make wedding gowns at the studio?
Yes. Margie can make wedding gowns on-site. Contact her to discuss a custom gown and schedule a consultation.
How do I know the final alteration cost?
Alteration ranges are a starting point. Margie will inspect the garment, discuss the fit and requested work, and confirm the price before proceeding.
